Quilcene schools to offer free, reduced-priced meals

Posted

For the 2017-2018 school year, the Quilcene School District is offering free and reduced-price meals to students in need through the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. Children from families whose income is at or below the levels set by the National School Lunch Program/School Breakfast Program are eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

Application forms, with a letter to households, are being distributed to all homes. All forms are also available at

www.quilcene.wednet.edu. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, households must fill out the application and return it to the school. Applications can be delivered in person to the school or mailed to P.O. Box 40, Quilcene, WA 98376, Attn: Tammy Thompson.

Only one application per household is needed. Additional copies are available at the school office. The information provided on the application is used to determine eligibility and may be verified at any time during the school year by school or other program officials. Family size and income criteria can be found by clicking “Letter to Households” on the school website’s Food Service page, accessed under “Programs.” For more information, call Tammy Thompson at 360-765-2905.
