First Presbyterian Church of Port Townsend is accepting applications for the Sarah “Dusty” Westall Scholarship.

From this endowed scholarship fund, the church annually grants college scholarships to students from East Jefferson County.

The scholarships are to be awarded to students from East Jefferson County who will be attending an accredited Christian college/university during 2017-2018, according to a press release. Students may reapply annually as long as they maintain good standing at their college/university.

Preference is to be given to students participating in First Presbyterian Church of Port Townsend.

Westall was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. Before her death in 2009, she expressed the desire to assist in the educational pursuits of Christian students in East Jefferson County, and through her gift to the church established the endowed scholarship fund.

Applications are available online at

fpcpt.org or by contacting 385-2525 or

fstpres@cablespeed.com.

Completed applications and supporting materials must be received by 4 p.m., Monday, May 1.
