Virginia Joy Jones ne Fieldhouse McNally passed away at 91 on Sunday, Feb. 7 in the beautiful home of her son and daughter-in-law, J and Sheryl Deskins.

Virginia loved life! She brought a keen wit, wicked fun sense of humor, great cooking skills, and resilient spirit to everything she did. She loved to enjoy a good meal. Her fresh Quilcene shrimp scampi, fried oysters, crab salad, and clam chowder were legendary in the family and neighborhood!

She and her life partner Bill were married for more than 50 years. They traveled the world and raised between them seven children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether walking in a Scottish castle, at the top of the World Trade Center in a New York City downpour (before 9/11), or cooking fresh fish off a boat in Baja Mexico – Virginia would be having fun. And so all of us around her would have fun!

Virginia could guarantee the outcome of a Seahawks game if she wore her lucky Seahawks socks and shirt. She loved decorating for her favorite holiday – Halloween! A little pint of spitfire and joy! We will miss her mightily.

Virginia is survived by sons J Deskins and wife Sheryl; Carl “Crow” Deskins and wife Sara Lisch; and Tom Deskins, and daughters; Chris Jones Crubaugh and husband Thomas; Bobbie Lou Beckwith and her husband Michael; and Patricia Jones, children and grandchildren.

A family celebration of life will be scheduled when travel is safe.
