Thom lived in Port Townsend and passed away March 11, 2024 of cancer, just a few days after his diagnosis. He was surrounded by his lived ones in the family home.
Thom was born in Port Townsend in 1958, the middle of five children born to Bill & Ruby Wise. He graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1976 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington State University.
Thom started work at “The Mill” on January 1, 1984, where he worked for forty years and was set to retire on March 22, 2024. Thom loved his kitties and enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
Thom was preceded in death by his parents, William W. Wise (December 1994) and Ruby E. Wise (September 2018), and brother Orville J. Wise (May 2020).
Thom will be missed by his siblings Ronald Wise (David Roscoe), Sunie Wise, and Laurie Wise; nieces Krista Mudge (Peter Brazil) and Whitney Mudge; nephews Ty Mudgistratova (Lola) and Andrew Hurst; and great-niece Katya.
