East Jefferson wrestlers opened the season last week against Port Angeles and Kingston.
East Jeff fell to the Roughriders but bested the Buccaneers.
“Out of 17 matches we won 12. It was our first outing and the kids wrestled great,” noted East Jefferson Coach Steve Grimm.
Winning by pin were on the girls side were Savanna Hoffman 2-0, Lily Delgado, 140 lbs Chloe Lampert, and Melody Douglas.
Four EJ boys also claimed victories; Logan Massie 2-0, Gauge Barry 2-0, Kyle Caldwell 1-0, and Lars Wakefield 1-0.
