A recreational vehicle that someone appeared to be living in was destroyed by fire at 10:27 a.m., May 4. There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is being investigated by the Jefferson County Fire Investigation Task Force, according to East Jefferson Fire Rescue spokesperson Bill Beezley. Two men driving by the RV saw a plume of smoke, flames and downed power lines, and called 911. Although firefighters extinguished the fire within 10 minutes, the RV was destroyed, according to Beezley. Photo courtesy East Jefferson Fire Rescue
