Robert “Bob” Arnold Allan, Jr. passed in Puyallup, Wash. on March 11, 2017 of natural causes. Bob was born Sept. 9, 1949 in Port Townsend to Robert Allan, Sr. and Helen Lucille Robertson.

Bob attended Bates Technical College in Tacoma, Wash. to learn auto body mechanics. He was a lifelong resident of Port Townsend and worked at Port Townsend Paper for 27 years as a boiler operator and mechanic. Bob retired in 1998 due to increasing health issues.

Bob loved fishing, hunting, cutting firewood and outdoor activities with his family. Bob was also a life member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Townsend.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Helen and by his sister, Beverly. He is survived by his sons James (Julie) Allan of Port Townsend and Phil (Suzi) Allan of Bonney Lake, Wash. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Rachel Allan and Jesse Allan of Port Townsend, and Tyler Allan and Landon Allan of Bonney Lake.

Family and friends held a memorial service Saturday, March 18 followed by a gravesite service and a celebration of life gathering.
