Mary Lou Jondle, 82, went peacefully into the arms of the Lord September 5, 2017 at her home in Port Townsend, WA.
MaryLou was born April 20,1935 in Fort Dodge,lowa to the late John and Celeste (Hood) Condon. Mary Lou graduated from Barnum HS Barnum, IA and married Gary L. Jondle February 14, 1956. They made their home in Long Beach, California owning a successful welding and blacksmith company while raising 6 sons and 2 daughters. Mary Lou (ML) was an active member of St. Joseph parish in Long Beach for over 35 years as well as a loyal St. John Bosco H.S. (SJB) supporter; all six sons graduated SJB and ML continued her volunteer work at the school long after her last son graduated. Gary and Mary Lou retired in 1992 to Port Townsend, WA.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gary L. Jondle and their “8K’s”; son Kelly Jondle(Patricia) Lakewood, CA; son Kirk Jondle (Maureen) Long Beach,CA; son Kevin Jondle (Michele) La Palma,CA; daughter Karla Jondle Fong (Tse-Ling) Huntington Beach, CA; daughter Kari Winget (Mike) Huntington Beach, CA; son Kyle Jondle, Reno,NV; son Kris Jondle (Marli) Long Beach, CA; son Kraig Jondle (Kim) Bettendorf, IA; as well as her beloved grandchildren; Rachel, Mary & Gary Jondle, Riley & Jake Jondle, Kristin Miller and Brian Jondle, Matthew, Allan, & Megan Fong, Ryan & Patrick Burke, Kaely Jondle, Blake and Brooke Jondle; Holly and Heather Jondle; her brother Dan (Patsy) Condon, DeWitt, IA; sister Carmen (Gary) Rolfes, Clinton,IA; sister Joan (Denny) Eittreim, Laguna Niguel; brother-in-law Gordon (Sally) Jondle,Fort Dodge, IA; sister-in-law Loyla Taylor, Moorland, IA; cousin Phil Hood (Theresa) Clare, IA; sister-in-law Maureen Condon, Banning, CA; and many nieces, nephews,and cousins. Mary Lou was preceded in death by brother William “Bill” Condon.
