Lucretia Flores passed away very peacefully on Nov. 25, 2021, surrounded by her daughters and granddaughters. She was 103 years old.
Lucretia, known to her friends as Lorrie, was a Port Townsend resident for 32 years.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1918, and raised in San Francisco, California. Her parents were both Sicilian immigrants.
Her love of family, cooking fine Italian food, painting, and anything else she put her hands on, defined her life with beauty and love. She was known and loved for her caring and open-hearted way of welcoming friends, family, and friends of the family into her home.
She and her husband, Tony, had five wonderful children, who each brought more grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the big and loving family.
It was very fitting that she left on Thanksgiving. She would have wanted to be remembered in celebration with food and wine and gratitude. We will always remember her in this way.
There will be a celebration of her life to be decided at a later date.
