At 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 9 in Brinnon, a woman said her husband had been charged for an airline ticket he didn’t ask for at the service desk for Alaska Airlines.
The woman called the company and was told it was a fraudulent ticket.
Two tickets had been purchased, but the caller’s husband was told by a company employee that his ticket was not valid and he was charged $179 for the second ticket.
The woman called police after talking with Alaska Airlines. She was told by the company the ticket fraud had been “an inside job” and the incident will be handled by the company’s fraud department. The woman was advised to call local law enforcement.
The woman’s credit card company was notified and did not charge the woman’s account for the ticket purchase.
