The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 230 calls for service between Saturday, June 11 and Friday, June 17. Below are selected reports.

At 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 in Brinnon, a woman said her son and his girlfriend were being threatened and harassed on social media by another female.

The woman said the posts were coming from a fake Facebook account but she knew who was responsible for the messages.

The caller said she could get a protection order from the court if she could prove who was responsible for the social media posts.

The caller said she would contact Facebook with hopes to resolve the issue.

At 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 in Brinnon, a caller reported an unwanted person was blocking access to a property with a truck and motorcycle.

The caller said the person on the property shouldn’t be there and was asked to leave seven months ago. A note had been left for the person to vacate the property.

A deputy tried to contact the unwanted person but was not successful.

At 6:47 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 in Chimacum, a resident reported animal abuse.

The caller said kids in the neighborhood had been shooting paintballs at their horses.

A deputy contacted the caller and found traffic cones had been placed where the paint balls had landed. The deputy contacted samples of the paintballs.

The case was forwarded to animal control.

At 9:13 a.m. Wednesday, June 15 in Port Hadlock, a caller said a neighbor was going “psychotic” and was screaming and yelling. 

The caller said the person may have a mental health issue.

A deputy contacted the neighbor, and determined she had been outside her home yelling for her dog.
