A longtime resident of Port Townsend, WA Geno passed away peacefully just shy of his 75th birthday with his loving family by his side.

Beloved son of the late Evelyn R. (Kundert) Farier. Gene leaves behind eleven cousins who loved and looked up to him. Not only was he the eldest but Gene also reminded us frequently, the wisest.

Gene also leaves behind a loving community of friends whom he enjoyed spending time with playing guitar and swapping stories, He was a loved cowboy hippie who could shoot a rattlesnake on horseback and practiced tai chi and the art of acupressure in his spare time.

Gene graduated in 1967 from Norwood High School in Norwood Massachusetts. Not long after graduating he joined the Navy where Gene piloted a Nuclear Fast Attack Submarine. Upon his discharge from the Navy Gene spent years enjoying life exploring the country.

Gene finally settled in Port Townsend, WA where he found his forever home and never looked back. He had a great life with great friends whom he always referred to as his family. He was in his element. He loved going out on his boat and was a great storyteller. Gene was funny, outgoing, a unique individual with his own opinions and he never hesitated to share them.

Gene was a caring, loving son and a beautiful soul who will live forever in our hearts.
