Disco Bay golf ladies play ‘Bingo, Bango, Bongo’

Bringing their irons, woods, wedges, and putters out to the golf course, the Discovery Bay Women’s Club gathered Thursday for a game of “Bingo, Bango, Bongo,” named after the classic Frank Sinatra track.

The rules of “Bingo, Bango, Bongo” state that participants earn one point for the following achievements: first golfer on the green, closest to the pin, and taking only one putt to hole out.

Nine women with the club took part in the game, and it ended in a well matched four-way tie for first place.

Sixteen points and a share in the money was shared between Jodi Stone, Dee Sweeney, Terry Graham, and Barb Aldrich. Birdies were carded by Lynn Pierle, Dee Sweeney, Terry Graham, and Jane Peoples.

To join or learn more about the Discovery Bay Golf Club or the women’s club, call the course’s pro shop at 360-385-0704 or visit discoverybaygolfcourse.com.
