Dina Elizabeth Riepe

Posted

Dina Elizabeth Riepe was born December 9 1964, in Shelton Washington to Betty Flick, and was later adopted by Eugene Winters, growing up with older brother Dean, and younger sister Gentry. She passed away the morning of April 14 2017, and is survived by her three children, Carly, Cammi and Stevie, born to her and James Riepe. Dina lived a life of laughter, it wasn’t just heard, but felt, by everyone who came into her circle. She was devoted to her cats Sammy and Tiger, and the plants she had raised since she was a teenager. The demons she wrestled made her empathy for the others seep out of every pore. Her passion was offering solace to the degenerates, disheartened, and forgotten. Life had no boundaries, or restrictions for her, and she prided herself on judging no one. The best friends she cultivated from kindergarten till her time of passing made her who she was. Dina lived her life utterly unapologetically, she would quote Dr. Seuss saying, “Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind”. She sang as if no one could hear, and danced not caring if she was entertaining anyone but herself. While the music may be turned down now, and she’s taken off her dancing shoes, Dina’s laughter can never be forgotten, and will echo forever in the hearts of those that had the blessing of being a part of her cultivated family. - Angel, Hero, Friend.

There will be a Private Memorial at Chetzemoka Park from 2-4 pm, May 27th. If you knew and cared for Dina, feel free to come share in her memories. If you have any questions feel free to contact her daughter Cammi, at 509-306-1209.  - Cheers.
