Perennial league powerhouse Charles Wright Academy overcame East Jefferson in varsity boys tennis last week as the Rivals fell 5-0.
The Tarriers topped the Rivals in all three singles matchups and in doubles play, as well.
In No. 1 singles, Parth Jain outlasted Reid Martin 6-1, 6-2.
In No. 2 singles, Daniel Donner prevailed over Ben Martin, 6-0, 6-4. Martin staged a second-set comeback but fell a couple of points short.
And in No. 3 singles, Levi Goldbar eventually struck pay dirt for CWA against EJ’s Roman Humphrey, 7-5, 6-4.
In doubles action, Antonio Rioseco and Trey Hill came up short against Sam Brink and Conner Iverson in No. 1 doubles, 6-0, 6-0.
In No. 2 doubles, Will Tuner and Justin Dunk of CWA beat George Maier and Laaodo Yumang, 6-1, 6-0.
