I was born long ago in the city of Boston in (like Superman) a world that no longer exists. We then removed to Egypt (Massachusetts), which is about as close to the Holy Family as we ever got. My first memory (being a good seacoast Yankee) is the 1956 grounding of the freighter Etrusco just off the light at Scituate Harbor. A lot of the rest is a blur, studded with many stories now lost forever and lessons generally learned too late. The high point was when Snoopy convinced Donna to marry me. To try to quote Rose at the end of "Titanic," she “saved me in every way a person can save another.”
