Brian Baumunk resided in Chimacum, Washington. He was born on Sept. 21, 1958, in Mountain Home, Idaho and passed away on Friday afternoon, Dec. 9, 2022, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Wash.

He was born to Ralph Homer Baumunk and Diane Louise Milne-Baumunk. Brian was married to Patsy Benton- Baumunk on June 28, 1997, in Chimacum.

Brian spent four years in the Navy following graduation from Port Townsend High School (Class of 1976). He transferred to the Reserves and moved back home where he began helping and interacting with the tightly knit community he grew to love so dearly. He worked in the glass business for more than 30 years before purchasing Pacific Garage Door, which he owned and operated for another eight years.

Brian was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hiking, and fishing. He spent much of his other time visiting with friends, family, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He was baptized on Sept. 21, 2003, and became a devoted member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Chimacum.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Benton-Baumunk; children, Jeff Smith and Theresa Yumang, Chimacum, Gerri and Colin Hiday, Sequim, Wash.; and seven grandchildren. Brian is predeceased by his parents, Diane Milne and Ralph Baumunk; and grandparents, Homer Baumunk, Hazel Chambers, Roslyn Milne, and Alice Karto.

There was a viewing at Kosec Funeral Home and Crematory and the funeral was held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022. He was laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum.
