The cartoon in last week’s paper (June 22) depicts a married couple much more interested in the rising price of gasoline than in the hearing of the January 6 Select Committee.

Ironically the cartoon was adjacent to an editorial that proclaimed the relevance of local newspapers, while making a case for Congress to pass the Local Journalism Sustainability Act.
