Here’s a Nov. 8 article from The Guardian, “Stacey Abrams helps raise $3.6m in two days for crucial Georgia Senate runoffs:” https://news.yahoo.com/stacey-abrams-helps-raise-3-180131064.html
A general Nov. 12 story from the Los Angeles Times: https://news.yahoo.com/georgia-decide-senate-control-shape-211813030.html
“In late July, Democratic political giants filed into the towering sanctuary of Ebenezer Baptist Church to mourn the death of an era, and to declare a new one to come. This is the church where Martin Luther King Jr. once preached, and where Representative John Lewis, the civil-rights icon, was now being laid to rest. Lewis’s pastor, Raphael Warnock, stood before the congregation in a black pulpit robe with Kente-cloth panels and lamented the cynicism of this time in American politics. ‘In a moment when there are some in high office who are much better at division than vision, who cannot lead us so they seek to divide us,’ he said; ’here lies a true American patriot.’ As former President Barack Obama took the lectern, he turned to Warnock, locked eyes, and pointed . . .
“This was not just a funeral for Lewis and the civil-rights movement. It was a rally for a different America, one where health-care coverage is universal, police officers are traded for social workers, and bail has gone the way of the horse and buggy . . . “
This foregoing is from an Atlantic article by Emma Green in August. Then as now, Warnock wanted to help Democrats rename the country — and pollsters viewed his candidacy as “competitive.”
However, money talked during the general election. While Georgians gave a thumbs-down to the rotten character of Donald Trump, voters gave a slight majority to Republicans, setting up the runoff races that will determine the leadership of the U.S. Senate on Jan. 5:
Senate 1 — David Perdue (incumbent) 49.7%, (2,458,626); Jon Ossoff 49.0% (2,372,003); Shane Hazel 2.3% (114,892). Ossoff and Hazel were Democrats, Perdue Republican. These figures total 100% with an estimated 99% of the vote counted.
Senate 2 — Raphael Warnock 32.9% (1,615,366); Kelly Loeffler (incumbent) 25.9% (1,271,103); Doug Collins 19.9% (978,922); Deborah Jackson 6.6% (323,785); Matt Lieberman 2.8% (135,879). Loeffler and Collins were Republicans, totaling 45.8% of the vote. These all total only 88.1% with 98% of the vote counted, according to a computerized update of Nov. 12 apparently in error. The other three were Democrats and totaled 42.3%.
Six hundred staffers of the Republican National Committee reportedly already had been dispatched to Georgia (by Saturday) to begin the attack on The Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock, 51, and former journalist Tom Ossoff, candidates for the U.S. Senate Jan. 5.
For the moment I’m giving a shout-out to Warnock, who is running a close race against heavily-monied Kelly Loeffler, red-state appointee to the position. It could be the hardest-fought and most expensive contests in the history of a state turning from red to blue — rivaled only by the Ossoff-Perdue battle for a similar position.
Warnoff is the exact opposite of the Trumpian regime that already is hurling dirty advertising his way. He grew up in public housing as the 11th of 12 children. Now pastor of the church Martin Luther King once led, Warnock would make history if he wins, as the first Black American in the Senate to represent Georgia. Desiring to follow in the footsteps of Martin Luther King Jr., Warnock earned his B.A. in psychology at Morehouse College, later earning a Master of Divinity, Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy from Union Theological Seminary, (affiliated with Columbia University).
Warnoff has spoken out strongly for health care, expansion of Medicaid, etc., as well as racial equality. A major share of his campaign financing is expected to be provided from throughout the country — and I will be among those putting a modicum of money where my mouth is. My wife and son also are sending mailings.
Don’t make too big a thing out of the $3-plus million raised by Georgia voting activist Stacey Abrams (see internet link above) a week ago for Democratic candidates Warnock and Ossoff. She’s been super active since. But the big money around Atlanta remains with Kelly Loeffler, still the wealthiest member of Congress. She personally pledged $20 million to her losing campaign against Warnock Nov. 3 (see foregoing). That was her first experience at the polls, having been appointed Senator by Republican Governor Brian Kemp at the beginning of the year (to fill a vacancy).
During the general election, Loeffler touted her “100% Trump voting. She is former CEO of Bakkt, an international service provider owned by her husband, and is co-owner of the Atlanta Dream women’s team of the WNBA.

Tom spends the last four years railing against President Trump, calling him all manner of evil, a despot, tyrannical, a would-be dictator. And now he sends money out of state to help turn the Senate from R to D, which would give all three branches of the Federal government over to one-party rule. This is the working of a Partisan, not a Patriot.
And then Tom takes a swipe at Donald Jr. I wonder what Tom thinks about Hunter Biden, the drug-addicted son of Joe, who dated his dead Brother's widow for two years, classy. Hunter Biden who got tossed out of the Navy because of his drug addiction. Hunter Biden who admitted that he used his Father's position to get Millions from Ukraine, and then went on to get Millions from China.

Just can't give it up, just like Trump, he lost but doesn't care. In his fog addled brain he will always be king.
Tom can send money to anyone he wants to, put your money where your mouth is, perfectly legal, I sent money to Kentucky to try to get rid of Mitch McConnell, pity he is still there.
You worry about the Democrats having control of the government, did you every think it might be a backlash from 4 long miserable years of Republican rule.
As to Donald Trump lookalike son, he has room to talk, out there shooting elephants, screwing around on his wife and kids (just like dear old dad), dating a woman who thought her parents were immigrants (oh that's right Puerto Rico is a part of the U.S.)
Then there is Hunter Biden who admitted he had a drug problem and dealt with it. Hunter never admitted he used his Dad's position to get millions from Ukraine (you and Trump decided it sounded good so spread it around, even though it's was proven to not be true). Give me some proof that he "got millions from China." His sister-in-law was not a widow. In Colonial times a single brother-in-law was expected to marry his brother's widow. Of course that's just history not really relevant today.
Just keep spewing your lies Just in hale and your puppet master.

"Oct 15, 2019 · Hunter Biden on Tuesday said he did nothing wrong when he served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company, but acknowledged that he likely got high-paying positions on such boards because “I’m the son of the vice president of the United States.”. In his first public statements since the scandal exploded in Washington, Biden told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that it was “poor judgment” on his part to hold the job, which reportedly paid him $50,000 a month. "
"Give me some proof that he "got millions from China.".....
"One of Hunter Biden’s business partners has come forward to corroborate the legitimacy of new reporting that shows former Vice President Joe Biden stood to rake in millions from Chinese businessmen through his son Hunter serving as the conduit.
In a statement emailed to The Federalist and other news organizations, Tony Bobulinski, a former Biden partner, confirmed he was a recipient of an email published by the New York Post last week, dated May 13, 2017, showing Hunter Biden was offered a contract worth $3 million a year for “introductions alone.” The same email included an obscure note to setting aside 10 percent for “the big guy,” which Fox News reported was a reference for Joe Biden which has now been corroborated by Bobulinski." Here, do your own Google search.....(https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hspart=trp&hsimp=yhs-001&grd=1&type=Y61_F1_148993_102720&p=hunter+biden+admits+the+reason+he+got+burisma+job+was+because+of+his+father)
"did you every(sic) think it might be a backlash from 4 long miserable years of Republican rule.".....Actually, it was two years.
"His sister-in-law was not a widow. "..... HUH? If Beau Biden died doesn't that make his wife a widow?

Marge, I already said that Biden won the election. I also said that Trump should just give it up and move on. The only purpose his lawsuits and re-counts will serve is to bring to light the irregularities and outright fraud that is inherent in a vote by mail system. I've already posted about the Judicial watch lawsuit (2017) against Los Angeles where they found over a million inelligible voters on their voter rolls.(https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/01/07/five_states_face_federal_lawsuit_over_inaccurate_voter_registrations__142089.html#!)
Every American should care about the integrity of our elections. Maybe you don't but I do and so does President Trump.
M.NoName makes a false statement "Hunter never admitted he used his Dad's position to get millions from Ukraine" I posted proof that Hunter did admit it. NoName then asks for proof that Hunter Biden profited in China, and I post evidence that he did.
I post what I believe to be the facts that neither you nor NoName contest, but both of you have the gall to tell me to stop "spewing Trump's lies". I guess it's like NoName said "doesn't matter, Trump lost".

As Trump continues his contention that "he won" the American people are in the midst of the worst pandemic in modern history. The American public should request that he be examined by mental experts for his sanity. The man is not sane. I am not an expert, but I recognize insanity when I see it.
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Reality has not entered his brain. The man is seriously ill.

I don't see what the CV event has to do with Trump exercising his right to contest the vote. Is he going to change the outcome of the election? I doubt it.
I think what he is doing is exposing the fact that our elections are far from perfect, I think most educated people already know that, and the Millions that voted against him could care less.
As far as him being "insane" goes I've said for years you got to be nuts to want to be POTUS.

You don't have to be crazy to be president but it doesn't hurt.
Seriously, I really believe Donald Trump is suffering from mental illness. His actions are not at all even close to normal, they never have been.
The system works. Trump has the legal right to request a recount, which he has done in some states and counties (no change), but he does not have the right to block Joe Biden from transitioning to being our next President. I suppose he thinks he is still on his reality show where only he calls the shots. He had his four years, he failed and we fired him.

Technically the POTUS is not declared until the electoral college votes, so while Trump exercises his legal right to challenge it would be premature for him to turn over the administration to Biden. While there are many departments where it wouldn't do any harm to let Bidens team in, there are Top security, CIA, NSA briefings that should be kept to the acting administration, technically that is Trump.
You and I will not agree that Trump failed, and I'll bet any amount of money that the majority of anti-Trump voters did so for only one reason, they hated him.

This Thanksgiving we can give thanks to the Biden campaign for panicking President Trump in to a rush for a vaccine. Now we have to hope Trump does not resist the vaccine rollout when he realizes the infection rates will begin to drop after Biden's inauguration. Biden will go down in history for his success in fighting the pandemic. Trump's humiliation will be of his own making.

Justin Case, I am recalling Trump's own complaints that the drug companies were working for Biden so they did not announce their success until after Election Day. If Trump thinks the vaccine creators are working for Biden, why not you, too? I recall Trump threatened the State of New York with not getting the vaccine because of his feud with the Governor. If Trump says a thing he makes a historical record because he is the President. You can look it up!

While you play make believe consider this. The Drug company did not release the news until after the election because they were working with Biden, after all who is forcing the drug companies to lower the drug prices Trump or Biden? Trump is. Why wouldn't the drug companies want Biden to win? (https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2020/11/20/fact-sheet-trump-administration-finalizes-proposal-to-lower-drug-costs.html)

Justin Time: You prove my point! Biden will go down in history for working with the drug companies to create the vaccine. Trump will go down in history for screwing up the vaccine distribution because he refuses to allow coordination of the transition. We also need to be thankful for Pelosi and Schumer for making vaccine funds available when the Republicans did not think there was a need to fight the virus.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer said Monday that they won’t agree to the Trump administration’s insistence on more money for small business loans unless their demands are met for additional funding for hospitals, state and local governments and food stamp recipients.
Because the congress is not in session, the vote, which is done while distancing, has to be 100 percent in favor. With our congress does anyone think that is even possible? So far no luck on compromise.
