Thanks due to voters, plus advice for the candidates

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people of Shine/Port Ludlow who voted for me in the Aug. 03, 2021 Primary Election.

This was my first time running for a public office, although I will not be advancing to the General Election I gained a better understanding of what it takes to be a “candidate.” Anyway, thank you for all the votes.

To the two candidates that will be moving forward to the General Election, I wish you good luck and the best to both of you.

Just remember the taxpayers are going to elect one of you, so treat tax funds like it is coming out of your pocket and it is always taxpayers’ money.

Keep safety first, and keep an open line of communication between the other commissioners, the firefighters and staff.

Most of all remember: You don’t always have to speak, sometimes it works better to just listen.

Also women and men should be able to volunteer and be a commissioner and should be treated equal.
