We need to maintain a professional law enforcement presence in Jefferson County and avoid any potential missteps by, first off, making the sheriff’s department a place law enforcement personal look forward to going to work for.

Joe Nole grew up in Tacoma and has lived in our county for 35 years, having worked as a backcountry ranger, a high school biology teacher and now 28 years with the Jefferson County sheriff department in various capacities including patrol deputy, detective, chief criminal deputy, undersheriff, and appointed sheriff.
