This weekend marks the fourth in the free series of chamber music events at the Concerts in the Barn with members of the Trio Hava, Amy Barston, cello, and Jessica Chou, pianist.
The third regular member of the trio, Elisa Barston, violinist, will not be joining her colleagues until the following weekend.
The concerts are 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31 at its iconic barn in Quilcene.
Barston and Choe will perform works for piano and cello by Amy Beach, Nadia Boulanger, Ludwig van Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Johannes Brahms.
The farm opens to visitors at noon each concert day.
At 1 p.m. each day, the barn doors open so that barn patrons can reserve their seats. Walk-up patrons will be seated according to remaining space.
All concerts are free to the public. However, all concertgoers are encouraged to reserve their place in the barn or on the lawn in advance through TicketStripe, accessible through the home page of concertsinthebarn.org.
Concertgoers are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch and bring lawn chairs if sitting outside. The farm has picnic tables to accommodate all picnickers and sells cookies, ice cream, coffee, and flavored sparkling water on site. Patrons can purchase cider from Finnriver Farm & Cidery and wines from Joe Euro’s The Wine Seller in the outside wine garden. Free bottled water also is available.
Visit concertsinthebarn.org for guidelines and more information, as well as more performance dates, programs, and artist information.
