A transient orca whale named Jack by whale researchers and observed to have injured his tail last August was seen last week in good health, according to the Center for Whale Research.
The injury was initially observed preventing the whale from diving and impending his ability to keep up with the rest of his transient pod.
Researchers were initially worried he would not be able to recover ,but he was seen last week in good health enjoying a sea lion kill with his pod.
