Northwind Reading Series on Thursday, June 22 features Tidepools 2017, Peninsula College’s art, literature, and music magazine. The group reading starts at 7 p.m. at Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St.
Tidepools magazine is designed around the creative work of local residents, among them youths, students, hobbyists, professional artists and musicians and others. This showcase for local talent, produced at Peninsula College, is published once a year, has won two recent statewide awards for best literary magazine, and is run by media and English student co-editors in a magazine publishing course.
Writers are to read, artists discuss their work, and musicians perform a song from the new CD. Copies of the magazine are available at the event.
Suggested donation for the readings is $5. All proceeds support Northwind Arts Center.
