Officials with Jefferson County Public Health reported late Thursday that three more residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
The three cases Thursday were discovered in residents in Port Townsend, the mid-county area, and south county (Quilcene, Brinnon, and West Jefferson).
A resident under the age of 19 tested positive, along with a resident in their 30s and another in their 60s.
Nine new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Jefferson County in the span of a week.
The county's total number of coronavirus cases rose to 427 on June 10 — up from 418 on June 3.
Health officials received test results from 30 residents Thursday.
Six people in Jefferson County are still awaiting test results.
Health officials said nine residents were still in isolation June 10 due to potential contact with people with COVID-19.
A total of 29 county residents have been hospitalized due to the coronavirus, and COVID-19 has claimed the lives of four residents since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
County health officials said 24,838 local tests for coronavirus have been reported since the pandemic began. A total of 24,405 have come back negative.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, 409 residents have recovered from the coronavirus.
People are considered "recovered" at 28 days from the onset of symptoms if they are alive and not hospitalized, according to the state Department of Health.
