The Scrub Jays are Kathleen Harvey, Chris Harvey, and Johnny Stuart and all three members switch between electric guitar, steel guitar, upright bass, and tenor guitar. The band, which hails from Northwest Washington, was formerly known as The Bear Flag Trio. The Jays play a mix of hillbilly, honkytonk, country and western, and rockabilly music with both cover and original songs. Their musical hearts are firmly set in the Nashville and Bakersfield sounds of the late 1940’s and early 1950’s.
30 minutes before music starts, a $3 or $5/person cover charge (excluding children under 12) will be collected. All funds go to the artists.
