“Weather or Not”: an exhibition of plein air art

Travel to Northwest beaches, deep woods, waterfalls and other enchanted places via this exhibition of 58 plein air paintings. This show is a tribute to the late Kathy Francis of Port Townsend, who started a plein air painting group called “Weather or Not,” in which she and artist friends went out to paint in sun, wind and even rain. In this new exhibition, 26 artists from across the Northwest show their on-site paintings.

Home Detox” Book Signing & Workshop

Join local author and nutritionist Daniella Chace, MSc, CN, on October 11th at 4:30 on the Finnriver Porch to learn how toxins in our homes are causing health symptoms and disease. She will be sharing simple solutions and nontoxic alternatives for items such as Teflon pans, fragranced products, and plastics. She will be sharing ways to support healing from diseases including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and asthma. We will also be making an effective antiviral hand cleanser and everyone who attends will get a free gift bag with nontoxic items. This program offers everything you need to jump-start your home detox! She will be signing books. The no-cost class is limited to 25. Attendees encouraged to purchase books.

Tap Room Trivia Wednesday at The Keg and I! Come test general knowledge on variety of subjects. Two rounds of questions are carefully curated for the month with a different first round topic each time.

Don’t worry if you aren’t a big trivia person...it’s fun anyway!

This happens 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month - In addition to our amazing selection of craft beverages, we have snacks from land and sea: smoked salmon, nuts, and cheeses, OR, handmade chips and salsa from La Cocina. Of course, you may choose to bring your own bites to go with our libations. We look forward to seeing you!

The Bunker: An open art studio for teens

The Bunker is a free art studio for middle and high school students, hosted by local professional artists every other Friday. Snacks and art supplies are provided, and the artists give demonstrations of various art forms. This time, painters Julie Read and Chris Witkowski will demonstrate Day of the Dead artwork.
