Routine maintenance and a Coast Guard hull inspection were the winds carrying the mighty Adventuress ashore this week at the Port of Port Townsend’s boat yard.
Assisting the 133-foot schooner, built in 1913, over to the Port's 300-ton Marine Travelift were volutneers with Salish Rescue and Sound Experience, the nonprofit which operates the Adventuress as a floating educational platform for environmental and maritime programs.
