The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 198 calls for service between Saturday, Jan. 15 and Friday, Jan. 21. Below are selected reports.
At 5:22 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 in Brinnon, a caller said two people had been at the Brinnon General Store and were trying to use a new bank card.
The caller was irate, and also reported theft by the same two people. She also said the pair were selling drugs for Joe Biden and had murdered two people.
When asked for more details, the woman said her main complaint was that Joe Biden was stealing her money and was on his way to Port Townsend to use her bank card.
She said she would take her complaint to the U.S. Attorney General. The call then dropped.
The woman called again and to report that Biden had been at the Brinnon General Store and had taken her card.
She continued with her outrage, but when a dispatcher asked questions, the woman hung up.
Information on the caller was shared with the sheriff’s office mental health Navigators.
At 12:48 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 in Port Hadlock, a resident said a man called him with threats, and vowed to put the resident “six feet under.”
The resident gave the name of the man who had made the threats. The resident said the man had called from Bon Jon Pass, and said he was there with his brother. The resident also said the man sounded like he was under the influence at the time of the threats.
The resident said he wasn’t concerned that the man will show up, but wanted the incident documented. He said he would call back if anything changed.
At 11:47 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 in Port Ludlow, authorities received a littering complaint. Someone found 13 bags of trash that had been dumped near a logging road close to the intersection of Swansonville Road and Reuben Johnson Road.
A deputy contacted a county road crew with a request that they pick up the garbage.
At 5:52 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 in Port Ludlow, a caller said an iPhone had been stolen during an estate sale the day before.
The device had been left on a table but was discovered missing at the end of the day.
The owner contacted Apple and had the phone turned off. The owner received subsequent alerts from the company whenever someone tried to get the phone turned back on, and the alerts showed the iPhone was at a Bremerton address.
A deputy contacted the owner of the phone five days later, who said the iPhone was no longer stolen or missing.
