The Port Townsend-based “Steve & Crypto Show” podcast has been nominated for “Best Podcast” by the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards.
The award honors journalism, scholarship, and film preservation in the horror and sci-fi genre, particularly for classic horror film and their modern-day counterparts.
Hosted by Steve Strout and Caleb Lowry, the podcast has been around for close to two years with the duo discussing topics within the pop culture and horror realm with a knowledgeable, casual, and humorous flair.
The duo have hosted a variety of guests on the podcast such as award-winning actor Doug Jones, comic book writer Dirk Manning, film director Maria Collette Sundeen, and many more.
The podcast will host renowned Seattle-based writer and film critic Robert Horton in an upcoming episode.
