Husband-and-wife duo Squirrel Butter plays a Concert in the Woods at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4. Based in Seattle, Charlie Beck and Charmaine Slaven perform traditional and original music influenced by Appalachian, early country, jug band and blues artists from the late 1800s through 1950s.
Recently featured on “A Prairie Home Companion,” Squirrel Butter recently released a new album, “Chestnuts.”
The concert is at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, Coyle. Admission is by donation.
