I am thrilled that Lorna Smith has advanced to the general election in the race for Jefferson County Commissioner.
Lorna has a stellar track record of real achievements in both the governmental and nonprofit sectors. We need a competent, skilled leader like her in this position.
Lorna knows how to manage. She is a former business owner and has successfully managed large county budgets. She will never over-promise because she works within the realm of real possibilities. That is why Lorna has been so successful. Her opponent claims to be a good fiscal manager and yet the organization she currently leads is saddled right now with a million dollar overspend. That is poor fiscal management.
Lorna sees what can be accomplished and works toward real solutions. She doesn’t job hop, but instead will see things through.
Look at her website at LornaForCommissioner.com and you will see a genuine record of achievements that have benefited our community. Talk is cheap. We don’t need empty promises. We have seen promises here that sit undone for 20 years or more. It’s time to get real. We can’t afford the talk right now. We need someone who can really deliver and that person is Lorna Smith.
