Shirley L. Myers was born in Port Townsend WA Sept 13th, 1940 to Orville & Lula Alberta (Finch) Edney. Shirley graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1958 as a Redskin. Shirley married James Weston Myers on July 11th, 1959 at the first Presbyterian church in Port Townsend. Shirley and Jim had two daughters, Rene Lynn & Cynthia Ann. Rene was born Nov 8th, 1960 and Cynthia was born Sept 23rd, 1962. Shirley was an active member of the Port Townsend Elks Lodge 317 as the organist. Shirley worked as a daycare provider, a clerk at the Bowlin’s Antique Store, and a clerk at JC. Penny’s, and for Wanda Kingsley Janitorial Service. Shirly also was very active in the First Baptist Church as the #1 Decorator. She also sang in the church choir and the community choir. She sang at funerals and weddings for friends. Shirley enjoyed riding on the back of their 750 Honda with their group of friends. Shirley loved and enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and sewing. She also loved going to sewing expos with her sister Mary Rose Stanton and good friends. She loved to dance and went to the fireman's Xmas party every year. Shirley also loved making handmade cards as well as Valentine's cards with the great-grandkids for their school parties. She embroidered on pillowcases and towels. Shirley leaves behind two daughters Rene Lynn Larson (Keith) and Cynthia Ann Hansen (Ken Barkey). Grandkids (Rene kids) Travis Mason (Nicole) Justin Mason (Anne) Micheal Mason, Racheal Mason(Josh), Joey Larson(Shannon), Aimee Larson(Dani). (Cindy’s Kids) Alex Hansen(Rachel) Ronald Hansen(Lyza) Kayla Gartner(Ian) Mellissa Hansen. Great Grandkids Isaiah Mason(Enomie) Bella Mason, Logan Mason, Jordan Mason(Stephanie) Hayden Mason, Willow Mason, Mikayla Mason, Mikenleigh Mason, Joshua Davis, Brycen Hansen, Cambree Hansen, Kane Hansen, Deklyn Hansen, Sawyer Hansen, Kinsley Gartner, Harper Gartner. Two Great Great grandkids, Myla & Waylon Mason, McCoy Larson, and Demsey Larson. One sister Mary Rose Stanton, one niece Bonnie(Dan) Olson, Great Grand niece Maia Olson, nephew Don Allen Edney and sister-in-law Lois Edney. Multiple cousins. Shirley had lots of good friends, too many to name but you all know who you are. ,
Shirley was preceded in death by her Husband James Weston Myers as well as two brothers Donald T. Edney and Billy Garnhardt. Shirley's parents were Orville E. Edney and Lulu Alberta Finch Edney
