A semi-trailer truck driver veered into a ditch and crashed on the side of US Highway 101 at Milepost 311 near Canal View Street Monday morning.
According to Fire Chief Tim Manly of the Brinnon Fire Department, an approaching vehicle slid into the semi-truck driver’s lane, causing the truck driver to swerve to the side of the road to avoid a collision.
The driver’s partner and child were in the semi-truck when the crash occurred, but nobody was injured.
After the crash, the highway was shut down to one lane until the semi-truck could be pulled from the ditch.
The highway was fully reopened by mid-afternoon March 7.
