The Port Ludlow Art League is ushering in new creations this March.
This month, members of the Port Ludlow Art League will feature artwork motivated by words in their “Every Story Paints a Picture” group art show.
Either from a book, story, poem, song, or quote, each artist interprets and visually imagines words in different ways to reveal multiple perspectives.
The Art League’s Artist of the Month is Bruce Corbridge.
From the beginning, Corbridge found fascination in art, drawing cartoon characters and “just doodling.”
Art and photography existed in his collegiate studies, however, he ultimately pursued a career in technical documentation and web design. Once he retired to Port Ludlow, Corbridge returned to his love of art.
In March, Corbridge’s artwork will be displayed at the Sound Community Bank, as well as, online for the Port Ludlow Art League.
Having specialized in semi-precious stones and sterling silver since the early ’90s, Beth Olsen is the League’s Jeweler of the Month.
Her gemstone creations and latest jewelry work will also be on display at the Sound Community Bank and online.
In addition to her jewelry, her exhibit will feature a collection of art pillows, lampshades, and up-cycled dolls decorated with beads, fringe, leather, feathers, and fur.
