Tri Area volunteers are setting out a plate for Tom Turkey.

More than 250 pounds of freshly roasted turkey and vegetables will be prepared for the annual community Thanksgiving Day meal in Chimacum. For more than 20 years, community volunteers and businesses have contributed to the free meal in Chimacum. It will be held from noon until 2 p.m.
Nov. 24, and the feast includes vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, and fresh rolls, all topped off with dessert for a traditional holiday meal.

The Tri Area Community Thanksgiving meal will be a movable feast this year at the Tri Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road. The meal will be offered solely as a pickup/drive-through service, as well as deliveries for those unable to come for the pick-up in Chimacum.

The big event is planned by Tri Area Community Meals board members. There is no charge for the meal, although voluntary donations are gladly accepted.

Reservations are requested (but not required if short notice) by calling 360-379-4228; leave a name, phone number, and number of meals requested, and if a delivery is needed. Volunteers will call to confirm the request. Volunteers are also welcome by calling 360-379-4228.
