Textile art and surface design techniques from
24 regional artists — including some from Jefferson County — will be on display in an exhibit at La Conner’s Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum.
Named “Rhythm of Light,” the exhibit will represent techniques in quilting, sewing, embroidery, appliqué and weaving, as well as contemporary techniques like fabric dyeing, printing, collage, beading, and felting. It opens Wednesday, July 7.
The work is of members of the Surface Design Association’s North Peninsula chapter.
Exhibiting artists from Jefferson County include Chimacum’s Erica Iseminger and Mary Tyler; Joyce Brustad Gordon of Nordland; Jeri Auty of Port Ludlow; Port Townsend’s Leslie Dickinson, Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry, Sue Gale, Pat Herkal, Sandee Johnson, Kindy Kemp, Debra E. Olson, Barbara Ramsey, Jean-Marie Tarascio, Cathie Wier, Joyce Wilkerson, and Erika Wurm.
