The Quilcene girls' softball team continued its winning streaks, 9-0 in conference games and 15-1 overall, into the postseason on May 18, with a 10-2 victory over Wishkah Valley.
Wishkah Valley scored its only two points of the game in the fifth inning, during which Quilcene failed to score any points.
Quilcene scored one point each in its first, third, fourth and sixth innings, while also racking up six points in its second inning alone.
Quilcene coach Mark Thompson credited Abby Weller with getting an RBI single in the first inning, and scoring her teammate Erin Macedo.
Macedo went on to score a two-run homer in the second inning, during which teammates Madison Coffey and Allison Jones scored back-to-back two RBI singles.
Jones and Alexis Gray went on to score RBI singles in the third and fourth innings, respectively, while Thompson praised Bailey Kieffer for pitching only two earned runs and zero walks.
Quilcene also won their next game May 20, beating Oakville 10-1.
