With bad weather comes the usual power outages. I have been very impressed with the responses that our PUD has consistently corrected every time over the past few years. This year we had four outages in one week. Each time I called to report the outage we were brought back online within an hour or two. This has been the case every time over the past six years. Having lived in Seattle for most of my life until I retired I found that responses could take days on many occasions.
We need to give a shout out to the crews who have been so diligent and working in terrible wet and very cold winter conditions to bring everyone back online both in the daylight hours and into the late nights.
When you see one of these PUD trucks traveling around the area, give them a honk and a wave to let them know that we appreciate their dedication to restoring our comfort levels.
