The Port Townsend Police Department received a total of 161 calls between Friday, Aug. 12, and Thursday, Aug. 18. Below are selected reports.

At 3 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in the 2500 block of Seaview Drive, a resident reported two teens destroying property in the area. The caller informed police of two teenage boys with flashlights who were ripping out a tree stump and being loud.

An officer arrived in the area but didn’t see anyone with a flashlight, and noted that there wasn’t any damage to the tree trunk. The officer did locate and contact two teens minutes after checking out the undamaged stump.

At 7:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, a caller near the Hastings Avenue and Landes Street intersection reported an injured fawn to police.

The young deer’s mother had left the area a few hours prior and the animal was unable to get up from the grass. An officer arrived to the scene and located the fawn, which appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. The deer was dispatched.

At 3:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the Water and Quincy streets intersection, a noise complaint was made about a man who was playing the guitar and cursing loudly. The man was described as being in his 20s with an aggressive, mixed-breed dog. Officers drove to the intersection but the man had left the area.

At 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, a caller at the Sheridan and 17th streets intersection reported a man on the roadway attempting to stop cars.

The man was in his 40s with gray hair, a beard, and possibly on a skateboard.

An officer arrived to the roadway five minutes after the call, but the man was no longer in the area.

At 12:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, a report was made in the 2100 block of East Sims Way about a man and woman arguing in public.

An officer arrived on the scene to check in on the two. The man and woman have had ongoing issues with verbal arguments in the nearby park and are living in their vehicle with their dog. The officer spoke to the pair, who said that another woman in the area wouldn’t leave them alone and previously left on a bicycle. There was no indication of any criminal actions, so the officer left.
