No one was injured in a Port Ludlow residential fire early Nov. 29.
Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire at 6:45 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 90 E. Spruce St., just off Paradise Road in Port Ludlow. Four occupants of the home and three dogs had safely evacuated when fire fighters arrived on the scene, according to Brad Martin, fire chief.
According to officials, a fire was smoldering between the upstairs floor where the home's fireplace was located, and the garage ceiling. The fire was extinguished about 20 minutes after fire crews arrived.
Crews from North Kitsap Fire & Rescue, Poulsbo Fire Department, East Jefferson Fire Rescue, NAVMAG Indian Island Station 91 and Quilcene Fire Rescue responded.
