A 63-year-old Port Hadlock man was killed in a one-car crash late Wednesday morning on Highway 16 near Gorst.
The man was driving west on Highway 16 just after 11 a.m. Aug. 5 east of Gorst when his 2008 Ford Econoline van crossed all lanes of the highway and struck the pedestrian staircase at the Highway 16/Highway 3 overpass.
The driver died at the scene, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The driver's identity has been withheld pending notification to the man's next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation, and the State Patrol said drugs or alcohol was a factor.
