The compassionate, moving storytelling of Jenner Fox and the talented guitar work of Jeremy Elliott will converge as the two artists prepare to perform in Port Townsend.
An avid storyteller, cargo-bike advocate, and peanut-butter purist, Fox comes from a family of river guides in the Pacific Northwest. While following the family trade, he recorded his debut album to make some extra money selling CDs on the boat ramp after rafting trips.
Five albums later, a decade of cutting his teeth on the river and road, Jenner built up his talents as a storyteller and singer-songwriter oozing with ability.
Elliott hails from Macon, Georgia — the hometown of many a musician, including Otis Reading, The Allman Brothers Band, James Brown, and more — and brings with him a wealth of blues, rock, bluegrass, country, and West African elements into his unique style of virtuoso.
Fox and Elliott collaborated on various touring and studio projects for years before formally assembling for an experimental cargo bicycle tour in 2020, and since then they’ve shared a sensibility for deep listening, space, humor, and 50-mile bike days.
With Fox’s storytelling and Elliott’s guitar chops, the duo will bring an enticing sound that’s sure to wow the Port Townsend audience.
The duo will play at the Palindrome at Eaglemount Winery at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
Tickets are $20 each online at ticketstorm.com/e/27282/t/ or $25 apiece at the door.
The concert series, put on by Rainshadow Recording, is sponsored by KPTZ and Strait Floors.
