A new pair of featured artists and jewelers will be exhibited at Port Ludlow Art League for the month of August.
The league’s artist of the month is photographer Diane Walker.
Her award-winning work has been featured in books, magazines, and galleries across the country.
Walker is normally best known for her boat photos, but she now focuses on local flora, fauna, and waterfront scenes.
Mara Mauch is August’s jeweler of the month.
For more than 30 years, Mauch has been working with glass.
She fuses several layers of glass using a kiln to create necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
She incorporates precious metals or other materials into her pieces, then shapes them by hand and re-fires them.
Find their work on display at the Sound Community Bank, the Port Ludlow Art League Gallery, or online at portludlowart.org.
The Sound Community Bank is located at the corner of Oak Bay Road and Osprey Ridge Drive in Port Ludlow. The gallery is located next to the bank and open from noon to 4 p.m. every Thursday and Friday.
