Donita “Johnny” Cook

Donita “Johnny” Cook was born May 19, 1931 and passed away Jan. 22, 2017 with family at her side at the old Dosewallips River farm where she was raised. She was married to O.W. “Red” Cook and lived on Walker Mountain for over 70 years where they raised three children. Johnny was an avid horsewoman and enjoyed competing in many endurance trail riding events.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Red; her parents, Fay B. and Myrtle Bunnell; and her three sisters, Marie Valley, Ida Bailey and Audrey Hill.
She is survived by her three children Herb Cook, Fay Beck and Hazel Munday; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. At her request, there will be no services.
