Jefferson Healthcare has relaunched its dedicated COVID-19 Nurse Consult Line in response to the increase in coronavirus cases.
The Nurse Consult Line can be reached at 360-344-3094.
According to Jefferson Healthcare, nurses will follow up with patients within 24 to 48 hours to triage symptoms and schedule testing at the Jefferson Healthcare Drive-Thru Testing Station, open seven days a week.
Individuals who are experiencing severe respiratory symptoms should go to the emergency department, while people with mild respiratory and cold symptoms should call the Nurse Consult Line before going to the hospital’s emergency room or Express Clinic for care.
Using the Nurse Consult Line will also avoid unnecessary wait times and minimizes potential exposure to others.
Hospital officials noted that all patients, visitors, and employees of Jefferson Healthcare continue to be universally masked with hospital-issued masks and everyone is temperature screened before entering the buildings.
