Another Wednesday paper and again no coverage for the students at our schools. I agree with P. Gaffney, we search for any coverage of the high school sports or other great activities involving our students. I started buying the PDN so I could keep up with our local sports and other activities. April 16 there was a home game for the track team at Blue Heron. Did The Leader even cover it? No! The last year there was very little coverage of any sports. However, the PDN covered it, with pictures included and all the times of the events. A big thank you to Pierre La Bossiere of the PDN for the great coverage he did and has done in the past.
Why would I support a local paper that is not interested in our students. Bottom line, I will support a paper that supports our kids. As soon as my grandson graduates next year, I will be canceling The Leader and keeping the PDN.
