Thirty-nine feet of dental do-goodery has been delivered to Port Townsend.
The SmileMobile has set up shop in its brightly painted dental clinic on wheels at Port Townsend High School and will stick around until Friday, Aug. 26.
The SmileMobile dentist and dental team provide examinations to babies (first tooth), children, youth, pregnant/postpartum people, and adults with Apple Health and those who are uninsured.
Due to COVID-19, the dentist and team will mostly only provide an exam and oral health education.
Depending on patient needs, however, they may also provide one or more of the following: fluoride varnish, sealants, simple extraction, temporary filling, cleaning (children only), and written referrals.
The mobile clinic travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery, and has examined and treated more than 48,000 patients in communities throughout Washington.
The group believes everyone deserves good oral and overall health.
