Anyone concerned about affordable housing in Jefferson County, and especially in District 3, will want to fill in the ballot bubble for Greg Brotherton.
Greg’s experience as a small-business owner made him keenly aware of issues with over-regulation, and in his current job as District 3’s county commissioner, he is focusing that awareness on how regulations are impacting housing availability and affordability.
In his first term, Greg worked with the other commissioners and Department of Community Development staff to streamline the permitting process, remove fees for informational meetings with planners, and ease clean water codes for storage buildings.
Currently he is working on stock plans for tiny houses, low-water septic alternatives, and other innovations that will make it easier to build more housing at lower cost, while still protecting waterways and other public interests.
A vote for Greg is a vote for a listener and getter-doner who is working to remove barriers to providing safe and affordable housing for us all.
