Local magazine gets national media exposure

Brinnon-based publishers of 3rd Act Magazine, Victoria and David Marshall, were recently featured in a story about “Third Acts” in the Christian Science Monitor.

The Marshalls set out to challenge out-dated perceptions of aging with 3rd Act Magazine, a regional lifestyle publication for older adults in the Puget Sound area.

The periodical attempts to inform and entertain an accomplished generation, inspiring those in their “third act” to embrace it.

“I’ve learned so much by getting to meet and work with people who really get aging right,” Victoria Marshall told the Christian Science Monitor. “

They don’t just live lives of leisure. They’re really focused on lifelong learning, growing, expanding, and staying physically active, staying socially engaged – staying engaged, period,” she added.

3rd Act Magazine offers up wise words and sage advice from its writers and contributors; visit 3rdactmagazine.com for articles, videos, and various resources.

Look for the Marshalls’ story in the Feb. 25 edition of the Christian Science Monitor.
